lyrics
To thinly draw the line between
Fact and fiction, hands unseen
Withholding fact, controlling data
Molding a sheltered consciousness
The age has passed, where knowledge was
fruit to be shared, a gift among us
Taken for granted, cast aside
Shallow opinion, strangled pride
Remove all resistance, destroying the evidence
Burn, burn it all
like blackened wings, the ashes mark
The end of reason
History erased before our eyes
The ulterior motive sought to be concealed
Distract the ignorant with simple complacency
What is happiness?
When people are afraid to feel anything at all?
Tonight we burn it all
These towers, they must fall
Our tomes, filled with sin
The cycle of failure
History erased before our eyes
Burn, burn it all
like blackened wings, the ashes mark
the end of reason
Burn, burn our tomes
These blackened wings have taken flight,
our sight removed
Deceived by those who've left you blind
Delusions of utopia
Resist, remove, destroy, rebuild

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive

Short and sweet, this album begins with a Mike Tyson-style jab to the gut and moves down a few inches, ending up with repeated uppercuts to the perineum. Pure fucking shredding genius from soup to nuts.
That part at the end of "Thanatos"? Where the guitar is like "wee-wee, widdley widdley wee wee woo weeeeeee"? It makes my weiner hard. Just brutal af.
Also, ending the album with Thanatos is just... *Chef's kiss*. Death is the perfect end to a joiner the likes of which this album takes you on Blxculx

My first exposure to Inferi was seeing them live with Shadows of Intent. They were supporting this album.
Unbelievably awesome live show and the greatest possible way to discover this amazing band.
Love everything they produce. Obstacle of Affliction
